This is a story is different from most I've read. Creating a cross between an alien female and a human male was attempted, resulting in three beings being born. As babies, two of the children looked 100% human and the third 100% alien. The male donor decided to raise the human looking girl. When she reached puberty, she started showing signs of her alien half. To protect her from the 'mad scientist' in charge of this project, she was sent away on a mission to find her siblings. This book is about her adventure to do just this, discovering more and more of her alien qualities as she goes along. It ends rather strange, in the middle of something strange that happened. But this makes sense when you realize that there is a sequel on its way.It's fun to read and I would strongly recommend it to lovers of sci-fi. I look forward to the next book.

BEAUTIFUL!
I fell in love with this book! It starts out fairly conventionally, as much as a story about a teenage girl who transform into something aquatic can be. It's also very well written. But then it becomes something more . . . magical is the only word that describes it. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there are a couple of neat twists to the story that elevate the book to something special, at least for me. Highly recommended.
It was extremely interesting and always kept me wanting to read more! It's definitely a book that I could read again and again!!!!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the element of surprise and enjoyed the twists and turns very much. Kept me guessing! Very original. Really felt inside the heroine's head through the first person narrative. OMG! Hope the next book is out soon, can't wait!
Gills is to the ocean, what Maximum Ride is to the air. It leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat wanting more. There were a few typos like first letters missing on a sentence but still very readable. I tried to sign up to receive an email when the sequel comes out but it didn't work. Could be because I'm on a I will try on my computer tomorrow.
